MyHub removes the last obstacles to vital muscle training

Finland's first MyHub muscle fitness training drive-in has opened in Hietalahti, Helsinki. The training circuit, which extensively utilizes artificial intelligence and lasts only 14 minutes, makes regular strength training easier, smoother and measurably more effective than ever before.

Finland's first MyHub - a muscle fitness training drive-in has opened in Hietalahti, Helsinki.

MyHub is a completely new concept, where the rituals of going to the gym have been reduced to a minimum and replaced with smart technology.

The result is a progressively developing and effective workout that is incredibly easy to adapt to everyday life.

One hub circuit lasts 14 minutes and works all major muscle groups. The effects of just a few weeks of regular training are noticeable and measurable – even after every workout.

And as befits the drive-in principle, it is easy to stop by MyHub, for example, during a shopping trip, and the customer can focus on what is essential while the artificial intelligence-driven technology takes care of all the background work.

– It's a real local service: we step in, do a lap, do a couple of muscle exercises and continue our journey refreshed and full of energy, says Maija Kiljunen, MyHub's Chief Operating Officer.

In addition to the newly opened Hietalahti office, the company's goal is to establish 15-20 MyHubs, first in Helsinki and later possibly in other cities.

An alternative to the traditional gym

MyHub Health Oy is a company owned by the LLI Group, but operates independently, and its CEO is Jyrki Hannula, known from EasyFit and LadyLine fitness centers.

Hannula says that MyHub is targeting the segment of Finns who, for one reason or another, do not go to gyms or have memberships – MyHub's customer model is comparable to streaming services, and it is valid until the customer terminates their subscription.

– We are not trying to compete with traditional gyms, but rather want to offer a new, easily approachable and genuinely effective way to take care of muscle fitness for those for whom going to the gym has not felt natural, Hannula says.

The background is a serious concern for public health shared by the founding members; inactivity costs Finland approximately seven billion euros annually.

Artificial intelligence takes care of the details

The visit begins with measurements. Analyses of muscle condition, mobility and body composition provide the artificial intelligence with the initial data on which it creates a personal and evolving training program.

However, you don't have to worry about the training program, as the EGYM muscle fitness equipment equipped with artificial intelligence recognizes the user, automatically adjusts to the correct dimensions and takes care of resistance, tempo and recovery according to the program. Movement paths remain intact and motivation is high thanks to the game elements.

The workout itself progresses like a circuit training. The eight devices are synchronized with each other, so moving from one device to the next is seamless without queuing.

Smart strength training

At the heart of MyHub are artificial intelligence-controlled gym equipment based on EGYM technology, which differs from traditional solutions not only technically but also in appearance.

The stylishly minimalist and completely silent EGYM uses its own motor instead of weight packs and cables, providing enough resistance for even maximum strength training. And because the technology is hidden inside the device, the details of your workout remain completely private.

Compared to AI-assisted muscle training devices from other manufacturers, EGYM stands out with its adaptive algorithm: it tracks progress and adapts the training program accordingly, thus ensuring progressiveness of the exercises.

EGYM is the world's fourth best-selling gym equipment brand, and over 18,000 EGYM ecosystems have already been built around it around the world. In Finland, EGYM equipment has so far only been seen in traditional gyms, and the now opened MyHub Hietalahti is the first muscle training concept to fully utilize EGYM technology.
